Welcome to “This Week in AI”, which brings you the latest and most exciting news from the AI world. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, The Thought-Provoking, you’ll find it here.

Disclaimer: because this is the Internet, you might have seen some stories before. If this is the case, well done you’re staying up to date 🙂.

This week there’s exciting news a deep learning model to help predict traffic crashes, the use of AI to spot unseen signs of heart failure, more improvements from Boston Dynamics’ mini-cheetah, news on AI and VR impact on children, and more.

The Good

  • A deep learning model could help us make our roads safer. Researchers have developed a model mapping high risk areas. That still does not make text & drive an acceptable practice though 😏
